The new season is underway and Saleem’s diary for the year ahead promises an eclectic mix of solo recitals, chamber music and concerto engagements taking him to the US, Canada and much of Europe.

The major focus this season is a complete Beethoven Sonata Cycle presented by the Konzerthaus, Berlin and performed in parallel in Prague and at the Morgenland Festival, Osnabrück.

Saleem’s first concerto engagement of the season sees him performing Beethoven Piano Concerto no. 5 with the Bamberg Symphoniker / Eschenbach. Other highlights include a return to the National Arts Centre Ottawa Orchestra under the baton of Alexander Shelley and Mendelssohn’s first Piano Concerto with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luzembourg / Znaider and Orchestra della Toscana in venues across Italy.

Saleem will also appear in recital at Cal Performances, San Francisco and undertake a residency at Brown University, USA.

Chamber music engagements see him performing with the Diamanten Ensemble, Copenhagen and alongside Yo-Yo Ma in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg opening series.
