Saleem has enjoyed another successful visit to Ottawa working again with the National Arts Centre Orchestra and their Music Director Alexander Shelley. In keeping with the Beethoven focus this season he wowed audiences with his performance of the third piano concerto:

‘This was aristocratic Beethoven: deeply dignified, a little serious, smoulderingly romantic. Ashkar’s virtuosity is formidable, all the more so because it doesn’t draw attention to itself: everything is taste and elegance personified.’
